Cavs’ swim team topped by Lapeer, Grand Blanc

LAPEER – The Carman-Ainsworth boys’ swim and dive team lost a Saginaw Valley League double dual on Friday to Lapeer, 119.5-60.5, and Grand Blanc, 143-34, at Lapeer.

Nathan Ratynski placed fourth in the 50 free, finishing in 25.84, while Cameron Koegel’s time of 25.90 placed him in fifth in the 50 free. Ratynski, Matusik, Roy and Koegel finished fourth in the 200 free in 1:50.97 and Ratynski was third in the 100 back in 1:10.14.

The Cavaliers will be at the Genesee County Meet at Fenton on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Diving prelims are Thursday, swim prelims Friday and finals are Saturday. – B.P.
