Cavs take fifth at SVL-South Jamboree

FLINT TWP. – The Carman- Ainsworth cross country teams both came in fifth with the boys posting a 117 and the girls a 146 at last Wednesday’s Saginaw Valley League Jamboree #2. Leading the boys was Kielin Thompson in eighth place in 17:37.40, while Jack Roy took 18th in 18:27.50.

Dalero McNeal finished in 20:19.39 for 45th place, Vincent Cook was 60th in 22:01.67 and Ian Wickham 61st in 22:04.33. Caleb Rodgers claimed 66th in 23:11.43, Zion Clingman 69th in 23:15.61 and Micah Shamly 77th in 24:54.99.

For the Lady Cavs, Ayianna Massey set the pace in 26th in 24:13.24. Priscilla Bradford-Walker was 32nd in 25:35.29, Emma Thorpe took 53rd in 28:37.29 and Rachel Allen 56th in 29:31.94. In 59th was Arcella Henderson in 32:36.76, C Coleman-Ervine was 63rd in 35:10.10 and Hannah Kirby placed 64th in 36:45.52. Leah Allen came in 66th in 43:33.89.

The Cavs will be at the Greater Flint Invitational at the Cummings Center in Mt. Morris on Saturday. – B.P.
