KENTWOOD — The Carman- Ainsworth track and field program is never short on talent and is often regarded as one of the top squads in the state. Its 2013 campaign came to an end at Saturday’s Div. 1 state finals at East Kentwood High School, where the boys placed 29th with 8.50 points, while the Lady Cavs didn’t accumulate any points or top finishes.

The Cavaliers’ lone top finish came in the high jump as Ja’Quin Jones tied for fourth place with a leap of 6-feet, 5- inches, concluding the Cavs’ stellar season, which saw the boys’ team win a Saginaw Valley League championship. — B.P.
