DAVISON — Marion LaVictoire of Davison celebrated her 100th birthday, Nov. 7.

She was born on her family farm Nov. 7, 1920, the youngest daughter of Herbert and Ethel Lundy. Marion married Richard Stephens in 1943. Sadly, he was killed in action in Okinawa April 4, 1945.

Marion married Jim LaVictoire, Oct. 13, 1946. They owned and operated LaVictoire Insurance Agency in Davison for many years.

Celebrating her birthday were her children and their children and grandchildren: Margaret (Dale) Christensen of Noblesville, Indiana, Christine (Tim) Hernandez of Davison, and Lee (Robin) LaVictoire of Davison.

Marion has been blessed with six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions her family gathered outside her window at Melody Pines Care Home to visit with balloons, treats, lots of birthday wishes, and sang Happy Birthday.

Cars driving by all day were greeted with a banner and asked to honk for a 100th birthday. Marion received more than 70 birthday cards from friends and relatives.
