Keegan Steele of Flint Township got a kick out of his mom’s artwork along their street. Natasha Steele left colorful messages of encouragement as part of a nationwide effort called “Chalk Your Walk.” In Michigan, because of the coronavirus outbreak, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has issued a “Stay Home. Stay Safe. Save Lives.” order advising residents to stay home unless necessary, and stay at least 6 feet away from others. That doesn’t mean people can’t go for walks, and a lot of people are taking advantage of the downtime to do just that. Chalk Your Walk is designed to provide encouragement and a little neighborly cheer to the people out for strolls.
