Chamber moves into new office





The Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce recently moved into its new office at 5023 Holland Dr. The chamber will hold a ribbon cutting for its new space on Nov. 10.

— The Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce now calls 5023 Holland Dr. its new home after the chamber moved into its new space on Sept. 7.

As a way of celebrating its new place, the chamber will hold a ribbon cutting for the office from 5:47-7 p.m. Nov. 10. Chamber members and those interested in joining are invited to attend, and help celebrate the ribbon cutting.

Along with the upcoming ribbon cutting, the Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce announces upcoming events for the area.

From noon-5 p.m. Nov. 6, The Old Newsboys will partner with several area businesses to host their second annual Tropical Smoothie Café Santa Beach Party fundraiser.

Hosted by Tropical Smoothie Cafe, 2103 Linden Rd. in Flint Township, the event will be held in heated tents and feature fun for the kids, pictures with Santa, smoothie sampling, limbo contest, a live remote with B-95 and more. Event sponsors include the Tropical Smoothie Café, B-95 radio station, Financial Plus Credit Union, Funtastic Inflatables and the Swartz Creek Chamber of Commerce.

For more than 85 years, the Old News Boys have been brightening Christmas for more than 760,000 children A $20 contribution will provide one child with a holiday box containing a sweatsuit, underclothes, gloves and a hat, dental hygiene products and an age-appropriate toy or game. Also, area women are invited to get away for the weekend by attending the Woman2Woman — No Boys Allowed Women’s Retreat Nov. 12-13 at Genesys Conference & Banquet Center.
