FLINT — Veteran local attorney ‘Chris’ Christenson announced Jan. 30 his candidacy for Judge of Genesee County 7th District Circuit Court.
Christenson will run in the November election for an open seat on the court, caused by the retirement of two current circuit judges.
“I look forward to serving the people of Genesee County, with nearly two decades of experience and a history of helping our community I hope to do more as a judge of circuit court,” he said.
Christenson is the former President of the Genesee County Bar Association, and a member of its Legal Aid Committee. He is a Commissioner of the State Bar of Michigan, and a member of its Criminal Law Section. Chris served six years on the Child Abuse and Neglect Panel of the Genesee County Defender Program. He is a Group Leader for the Crim Fitness Foundation as well.
He is a product of local schools, including Flint Southwester Academy High School and the University of Michigan-Flint. He earned his law degree at Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
