FLINT TWP. — Summer Osborne and Renee Janski, two Women Festival Favorites, will perform in concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Flint, 2474 S. Ballenger Highway.
Osborne is acclaimed as one of the hottest new voices on the Women’s Music Scene, according to a press release. She is an award-winning singer-songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri who has toured the U.S. and Canada with her potent genre-jumping performances. Her charismatic stage presence and humorous personality along with powerful vocals, lyrics and artful storytelling address the human condition; spirituality, truth, love and healing. Awards from her eighth album, As I Am, include the Best Song with a Social Message in 2014 for “This is Your Call” from RightOutTV.
Janski is a classically trained musician who is committed to spreading a musical message of Equality, Love, and Justice. She is best known as a member of the band, Big Bad Gina, known for their unique show featuring high energy, and funky Goddess rock fusion with a soulful flair. Janski will be debuting songs from her soon-to-be-released solo album, “Don’t Tell Mama.”
