Church receives large donation of toys

FLINT — Mott Community College (MCC) played Santa to children of MCC students, Dec. 22, thanks to a donation from the Dedicated Believers Ministries in Burton.

The church received a large donation of brand-new toys from a toy company, valued at approximately $10,000. Church officials decided to give the toys to MCC to give to students with children.

“We wanted to donate the infant health products and toys to the college to encourage struggling students, especially those experiencing financial difficulty, economic hardships, single-parent led homes, and to any families in need,” said Anthony Artis of Dedicated Believers Ministries.

“This is an amazing gift from Dedicated Believers Ministries,” said MCC President, Dr. Beverly Walker- Griffea. “We are thrilled to be able to help make the holidays a little brighter for our students with children.”

The toys and infant health products were distributed at 10 a.m. on Thursday to 45 MCC students with children in the Early Childhood Learning Center and 20 children of students at Workforce Development. — P.S.
