FLINT — Once again Flint’s Kearsley Park Players take their fairy tale theater for children and families to parks and playgrounds across the city and county. “Cinderella” is this year’s fairy tale and the 30- minute show is perfect for young children. Due to the short length, shows will start promptly.
“Cinderella” opens at Kearsley Park on July 12, at 7 pm. On July 13, the Kearsley Park Players will take “Cinderella” on the road, performing at five schools, summer camps and other sites throughout the community before an evening performance at Linden County Park’s Clover Beach for a 7 p.m. performance.
On the early afternoon of July 14 “Cinderella” will be performed twice at the Mott family estate, Applewood, during one of Applewood’s open days. The Applewood shows will be at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The evening of July 14 “Cinderella” comes to Flushing County Park with a 7 p.m. performance. This year’s production will end on July 15 witha2p.m.performanceat the Flint Children’s Museum.
All performances are free, except at the Children’s Museum, which is free with admission to the museum. Please bring your own lawn chairs everywhere except Kearsley Park and the Children’s Museum.
This performance is part of “2012 Theatre in OUR Parks”, a collaboration between the City of Flint Parks and Recreation Department and Genesee County Parks Commission.
