City plans to return to face-to-face meetings April 1

DAVISON — The city council will resume face-to-face meetings beginning April 1, following approval by council, March 8.

Meetings will again be held in the council chambers at the Davison Municipal Offices 200 E. Flint St, #2, on the second Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m. and the fourth Monday at 6 p.m.

The return to in-person meetings will come with some safety precautions because of the ongoing pandemic. Meeting capacity will be limited to no more than 25 people, masks will be required, and everyone will be subject to social distancing of at least 6-feet apart.

Ed Brown, supervisor of the Department of Public Works, told the council March 8 the council chambers are already set up for the new distancing guidelines.

“The chairs are already set up differently,” he said. “There’s plenty of social distancing.”

The council has met on Zoom since last March and new council members elected in November have never met in the same room.
