C&L Ward to host 6th annual Stuff the Truck Charity Drive

Home improvement company partners with Carriage Town Ministries to give back

DAVISON — On Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., C&L Ward will host their annual Stuff the Truck Charity Drive for those most in need. And this year C&L Ward is holding a series of raffle drawings, offering more amazing prizes to the donors than ever.

Every five items donated earns the contributor one raffle ticket, for example, 25 items donated earns five tickets. From there, tickets are dropped into the receptacle that corresponds with the desired prize(s).

“We’ve got a big truck to fill in order to reach our ambitious goal,” said C&L Ward president Pat Ward, “but the communities we serve have always shown up for us in a big way and that’s why this event and our partnership with Carriage Town Ministries is so important to us.”

Last year’s Stuff the Truck raised 3,027 pounds of non-perishable food items, winter outer wear and bedding. This year’s goal is 4,000 pounds.

Some of the prizes contributors stand to win include $500 for Amazon.com, Detroit Lions tickets, Red Wings tickets, $100 in Cabela’s gift cards, Cedar Point Halloweekend tickets and more.

Early drop is underway at all C&L Ward Showrooms.

“We opened C&L Ward Chicagoland last year and this is our first time hosting an event at four locations simultaneously,” said Ward, “we truly could not be more excited.”

C&L Ward’s Davison showroom is located at 9284 Lapeer Rd. approximately one-half mile west of M-15/ State Rd. — G.G.
