Local students named to honor roll at Lawrence Tech

SOUTHFIELD — The following students from your area have been named to the Dean’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2020 semester at Lawrence Technological University. To be named to the honor roll a student must maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average for the term.

The following students were among those named to the Lawrence Tech Dean’s Honor Roll:

Gillian Anschutz, Architectural Engineering; and Jacob Hill, Graphic Design, of Davison.

Carson Stickney, Architecture, of Goodrich.

Sophia Jones, Architectural Engineering; Sidney LeMieux, Civil Engineering; and Kaylee Patterson, Nursing, of Grand Blanc.

Darbey Johnson, Architectural Engineering, of Swartz Creek.

Albion College Fall 2020 Dean’s List and New Fellows

ALBION — Albion College announces students who were named to the Dean’s List or who were named new Albion College Fellows at the end of the fall 2020 semester.

Dean’s list honors recognize students with a minimum 3.5 GPA in four graded courses, while Albion College Fellow is an honor reserved for students who maintain a minimum 3.7 GPA over three consecutive semesters.

Grand Blanc student Mariah Brenz was named to the Albion College Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester. Brenz is a sophomore at Albion College and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program.

Grand Blanc student Brielle Broderick was named to the Albion College Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester. Broderick is a first-year student at Albion College.

Grand Blanc student Noah Rollison was named to the Albion College Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester. Rollison is a firstyear student at Albion College and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program.

Swartz Creek student Lauren Hall was named to the Albion College Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester. Hall is a sophomore at Albion College and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program.

NIU announces fall 2020 Dean’s List

DeKALB, Ill. — Northern Illinois University announces its fall 2020 Dean’s List students. To earn this distinction, students must meet a minimum semester grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology or a minimum of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale in the colleges of Business, Education, Health and Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts.

Isabella Sabo, Sport Management – B.S., of Grand Blanc was among those named to the Dean’s List.

Pickard named to Heidelberg University fall semester Dean’s List

TIFFIN, OH — Heidelberg University has announced the names of 422 students who have earned academic recognition on the fall semester dean’s list.

Included on the list is Layne Pickard, a freshman Sport Management major from Grand Blanc.

According to Interim Provost Dr. Bryan Smith, students must be enrolled full time and meet academic criteria set forth by the university to be named to the dean’s list.

Founded in 1850, Heidelberg offers 26 majors, 30 minors and 9 pre-professional programs, awarding the Bachelor of Arts, bachelor of science, and bachelor of music degrees, as well as master’s degrees in counseling, business administration and athletic training (2021). — G.G.

Sarah Morgan awarded degree from Miami University

OXFORD, OH — Morgan of Grand Blanc, was among more than 1,000 students from Miami University who received degrees during the virtual fall commencement on Dec. 11,

Morgan graduated with a BA Interactive Media Studies degree, majoring in Interactive Media Studies.
