Flushing student receives academic excellence award

ALLENDALE — Jillian Neumann of Flushing has been awarded the Academic Excellence Award for Photography from Grand Valley State University. Neumann is a graduate of Flushing High School and is supported by Dan and Jeanne Neumann.

The Academic Excellence Award honors one undergraduate student and one graduate student in each academic major. Faculty from each department select the award recipient for their academic major.

Joshua Decker of Grand Blanc named to Dean’s Honor List

CEDARVILLE, OH — Cedarville Student Joshua Decker of Grand Blanc, MI, majoring in Sport Business Management, was named to Dean’s List for Spring 2021. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Miranda Strobl of Davison named to Dean’s Honor List

CEDARVILLE, OH — Cedarville Student Miranda Strobl of Davison, majoring in Nursing, was named to Dean’s List for Spring 2021. This recognition requires the student to obtain a 3.5 GPA or higher for the semester and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Students named to Harding University Dean’s list

SEARCY, AR — The following students are among more than 1,150 Harding University students included on the dean’s list for grades achieved during the spring 2021 semester.

The dean’s list is published each semester by Dr. Marty Spears, University provost, honoring those who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.

Harding University is a private Christian university located in Searcy, Arkansas.

Local residents receive Olivet College Class of 2021 Top Ten award

OLIVET — The top graduating seniors with the highest-grade point average who completed all coursework through Olivet College are annually honored with the Donald A. Morris Academic Excellence Award.

In addition, professors chosen by the students as most influential are also honored. Congratulations to the following students and professors.

Davison’s Schlak named to Spring 2021 Dean’s List at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, OH – The University of Mount Union has announced that Ryan Schlak, of Davison, has been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester.

Schlak was one of 644 students named to the Dean’s List. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, students must have completed at least 12 credit hours of traditionally graded coursework while achieving a grade point average of 3.550 or better with no letter grade below a B.
