Olivet College announces the Class of 2021

OLIVET — Olivet College recently celebrated the Class of 2021 with an in-person Commencement ceremony on May 22.

Two hundred and fourteen graduates were honored, including traditional undergraduate students and graduates of the Master of Business Administration program, RN-BSN Program and Criminal Justice Professional Degree Program. Graduates from the Class of 2020 were also invited to take part in the ceremony.

Ashley Jenkins, of Davison, graduated with a Master of Business Administration.

Jacob Coultas, of Davison; and Stewart Manges and Andrew Todd, both of Flushing, earned their Bachelor of Arts degrees.

Hall named to Albion College Dean’s List

ALBION — Student Lauren Hall of Swartz Creek was named to the Albion College Dean’s List at the end of the spring 2021 semester.

Albion College’s Dean’s List recognizes students who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA while taking four graded courses.

Hall is majoring in business and integrated marketing comm. and is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program. She is a graduate of Linden Community High School.

Local student named to the spring 2021 Dean’s List at Aurora University

AURORA, IL — Aurora University has named Hannah Gwillim of Swartz Creek, to the Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester. Gwillim, who earned a perfect 4.0 GPA, is majoring in Marketing. The Dean’s List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who have earned a 3.6 GPA or higher.

Aurora University is a four-year, private, nonprofit, accredited higher education institution offering students an excellent education while maintaining one of the lowest private school tuition rates in Illinois.

Grand Blanc resident receives academic honor at Benedictine College

ATCHISON, KS — Benedictine College has recognized those students who have distinguished themselves academically during the last semester. Regina Scime, of Grand Blanc, was recently named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester, which ended May 15.

Any full time student carrying a minimum of 12 hours and a perfect 4.0 grade point average through the spring term is named to the President’s list. Full time students with 12 hours and a grade point average of 3.5 are named to the Dean’s List. Of the 1,980 students on campus for 2020-2021 academic year, 106 made the President’s List and 535 made the Dean’s List.

Founded in 1858, Benedictine College is a Catholic, Benedictine, residential, liberal arts college located on the bluffs above the Missouri River in Atchison, Kansas.

SVSU names Deans’ List students for winter 2021 semester

UNIVERSITY CENTER — More than 1,800 students from Saginaw Valley State University earned a spot on the Winter 2021 semester Deans’ List.

To be eligible for the Deans’ List, a student must take at least 12 credit hours and carry a semester GPA of 3.4 or better.

Local students earning a place on the Dean’s List include: Selena A. Adams, Alexa M. Aldridge,

Caitlyn M. Garceau, Thomas B. Hufton, III and Autumn L. Prescott, all of Grand Blanc.

Local students named to Kalamazoo College Dean’s List for Spring 2021

KALAMAZOO — More than 600 students were named to the spring 2021 Dean’s List at Kalamazoo College.

The following local students made the list: Thomas Cook and Hannah Durant, both of Grand Blanc.

Dean’s List recognition is earned with a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
