Ahrens named to BJU Bruins Men’s 2020-2021 Basketball Team Roster

GREENVILLE, SC — Andrew Ahrens of Davison has been named to the Bob Jones University Bruins men’s basketball team roster for the 2020- 2021 academic year. Ahrens is a Sophomore majoring in Business Administration at BJU.

“This group is facing challenges unlike any previous players in our program,” Bruins Head Coach Burton Uwarow said. “I think that this is the youngest team in program history, and they will be asked to do a lot with their lack of experience. We will start our season and play for a few weeks then be off for almost seven weeks. How they handle that challenge will determine how successful they will be.”

Due to COVID, the 2020-2021 season will look different from other seasons in the number of games being played. Still, the Bruins have built a solid schedule of opponents as they look to once again make their way to the NCCAA DII national tournament.

The Bruins will play just four games in the first semester, with three of them being played at home in the Davis Field House. In second semester, the Bruins will be playing an array of NCAA D2, NCAA D3, NAIA and NCCAA opponents. — G.G.
