Flint Township kicked off its community clean-up campaign on Saturday morning near the Sear’s parking lot off Linden Road. Volunteers picked up trash between the Genesee Valley Center and Linden Lane Apartments, combing through the fields and filling well over a dozen trash bags. As part of the township’s clean-up efforts, organizers and Flint Township officials are reminding residents to properly dispose of their garbage and avoid littering outside businesses and around parking lots. More community clean-ups have been scheduled in the township for May 1, May 8, May 15 and May 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. No registration is necessary, but volunteers are encouraged to come early to fill out a waiver.
