FLINT TWP. — The burgeoning township Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is seeking sponsors and donors for its first community event –an Easter Egg Hunt to welcome the Easter Bunny at 10:30 a.m. on March 10.
The EDC is partnering with Genesee Valley Center mall which each year hosts the Bunny several weeks leading up to Easter.
The Egg Hunt will be held in the township park, 5200 Norko Drive but will relocate to inside the mall if the weather is bad. After the park event, the Bunny will take up his usual spot in the mall’s center court to greet and pose for photos with children.
Sponsorships are being asked in amounts of $500, $250 or $100-$200.
For a $500 donation, sponsors will receive mentions in radio advertising, inclusion on all event signage, printed materials and electronic messaging and display place at a welcome table at the event.
Lesser sponsorships will receive inclusion on some pre-event signage and advertising and a spot at the welcome table.
Interested sponsors are asked to contact Tracey Tucker, township economic enhancement director at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 810- 287-1059.
Donations of Easter baskets, candy and other tangible Easter goods will also be gladly accepted, said Carol Pfaff-Dahl, a township trustee and EDC member who is spearheading the event. She can be reached at email@example.com or by calling 810-732-1350, ext. 591.
The EDC is gearing up to sponsor similar family-oriented events in the future. A Christmas Holiday Walk they hoped to have in 2017 was canceled due to lack of planning time but the board has expressed interest in trying again this year.
More details about the Easter Egg Hunt will be announced closer to the date of the event.
