GRAND BLANC – Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services, 8253 S. Saginaw St. in Grand Blanc, will host a community cookout to raise funds for the March of Dimes of Genesee County from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8.
The event is free and open to the public. Hot dogs, snacks and refreshments will be served and all “free will” donations will be given to the March of Dimes of Genesee County.
“Our involvement with the March of Dimes began because my wife and I lost our son shortly after he was born in 2006, this is a way for us to continue to celebrate his memory and do something for others,” stated Adam M. Martin, owner of the funeral home.
“Over the last eight years, we’ve raised nearly $10,000 for the March of Dimes. It’s something that we’re very passionate about and we hope everyone in our community will come out and show their support.”
