FLINT TWP. — As summer winds down and back-to-school preparations ramp up, what better way to celebrate than with one last summer blast, also known as Summer Fest, a free family event hosted by the Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Rd.
Rain forced the event inside last year but did not dampen the fun for all ages, according to event sponsors.
Plans again this year include a free cookout, live music, several inflatable bounce houses and water slides.
The event is planned for 5-8 p.m., Sunday, August 21 on the church grounds.
