Cool to Care returns for 2021 with new approach

Students collecting monetary donations instead of canned goods

DAVISON — The annual Cool to Care campaign began this week and will run through Dec. 8 in Davison Community Schools.

The annual food drive for Outreach East in Davison is going to be a little different this year, with students focusing on raising money instead of holding a canned good/ non-perishable food drive.

Due to space limitations for Outreach East, this year’s Cool to Care campaign will focus solely on raising money.

Each elementary school in the district has set a goal of raising $1,000 for Outreach East and to do so, the district will hold the following Spirit Days. While all families are invited to participate, Davison schools are asking families to consider donating $1 each day (or any amount they are able).

The first Spirit Day was held yesterday.
