FLINT — The Flint Institute of Arts presents an evening of musical entertainment throughout the galleries on Dec. 4 with the Flint Cultural Center Holiday Walk.
The celebration begins with the tree lighting ceremony at 5:15 p.m. in Durant Plaza, between Sloan Museum and The Whiting. The event will continue until 8 p.m.
Enjoy this community event on the beautifully decorated 33-acre Flint Cultural Center Campus complete with holiday light displays, caroling and festive live music, holiday theatre performances, hands-on seasonal arts and crafts, holiday planetarium samplers, refreshments, Santa visits/photos and food trucks will be selling food and beverages.
Guests can enjoy holiday films in the FIA Theater or participate in the FIA Art School children’s activity. Also enjoy planetarium shows, arts and crafts, fun holiday activities, refreshments, and more.
This is a free community event; however, the FIA asks those who can to bring personal care items, clothing, and non-perishable food that will be donated to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. — G.G.
