Davison Menards ready to celebrate its first Christmas

DAVISON TWP. — When Black Friday shoppers invade the local stores and shopping malls Friday morning, Menards will also be opening its doors early to invite the Christmas shopping masses inside.

“ We’re hoping for a big turn out,” said General Manager Jim Coyer. “ We’re happy to be spending our first Christmas in the Davison community.”

The store, which opened in May, is located at the corner of Court Street and Irish Road.

Jeff Abbott, spokesman for Menards, said the store is “your Christmas shopping headquarters with a wide selection of gifts, displays, decorations, stocking stuffers and gift cards.”

Known for high quality, name brand merchandise and tools for any job, Menards has great gift ideas for everyone on your list, said Abbott.

The store features its Enchanted Forest with decorations displayed by product category for guest convenience, including a huge assortment of artifical Christmas tree.

“Menards has always been known for its big selection of Christmas trees and outdoor displays, all at the lowest prices in town,” said Abbott. “ The Enchanted Forest offers several unique tree themes including Christmas Past, Rustic Noel, Comfort and Joy, Blue Christmas and more.”

Menards also carries a wide assortment of energy-efficient Energy Star LED holiday lights to complement any desired theme. Energy Star LED holiday light strings use 75 percent less energy than a standard light string and can save $10 over the lifetime of the lights.

Whether looking for indoor/outdoor lighting, ornaments, displays, novelties, villages, icicle lights, wreaths, air-blown inflatables, trees or more, the Enchanted Forest has it all this holiday season, said Abbott.

Coyer said Menards wide selection of goods and low prices have made the store a success in Davison.

“ We’re booming,” he said. “ The shoppers are definitely embracing us and we appreciate it.”

The store will open at 6 a.m. on Nov. 25 and will feature a sales circular for Black Friday specials.
