4-wheeler stolen, recovered
DAVISON TWP. — A 250 Yamaha 4-wheeler parked in the garage of a home on Potter Road was stolen sometime between Sept. 11 and Sept. 13.
The owner of the home reported leaving the key in the ignition while it was parked. The vehicle was reported stolen Sept. 13 at 11:38 a.m.
Police recovered the 4-wheeler on Sept. 21 in the 5000 block of Coldwater Road in Genesee Township and a suspect was arrested and lodged in the Genesee County Jail. No further information was available on the suspect.
Woman driving erratically arrested on suspicion of OUID
DAVISON TWP. — A 63-year-old Hazel Park woman who was driving erratically on State Road was arrested Sept. 14 after failing sobriety tests.
A motorist followed the women as she drove from the area of Hill Road to the McDonalds in Davison on State Road, where police stopped her at 1:45 p.m. The officer reported the woman had slurred speech, was unsteady on her feet and couldn’t hold head up.
She couldn’t pass series of sobriety tests and blew a 0 on the portable breathalyzer. She consented to a blood draw and was taken to Hurley Medical Center. The police are awaiting results of the blood test.
Kid’s bike stolen in Timber Heights
DAVISON TWP. — On Sept. 17 at 8:09 p.m., police were called to Timber Heights to take a report on a missing bicycle. The woman reported her daughter left the teal, Next Gauntlet bicycle, parked by the porch after riding it Sept. 16 and it was gone the next day.
The bike had black lettering, a black seat and a water bottle. Police ask anyone who might know where the bike is to call 810-653-4156.
Traffic stop leads to arrest
DAVISON TWP. — A 21-year-old Silverwood woman was arrested and issued an appearance ticket Sept. 17 after police learned she was driving on a suspended license in a car with no license plate and no insurance.
Police stopped the driver at 10:10 p.m. at I-69 and Washburn Road for speeding. Further investigation revealed the woman’s license was suspended, she had no license plate and no insurance. Additionally, she was wanted in Roscommon County on two warrants.
She was arrested, issued an appearance date and released. Roscommon County did not ask for her to be returned on the warrants.
Man arrested after traffic stop
DAVISON TWP. — A 21-year-old Flint man was arrested Sept. 18 at 1:50 a.m. after police discovered he had no driver’s license during a traffic stop.
The man was stopped in the 1000 block of South Irish Road for improper lane use. Upon further investigation police learned he had two felony warrants out of Newport News, VA. The police there did not wish to extradite him, so he was issued an appearance-ticket and released. — Compiled by Gary Gould
