ATV stolen from backyard

DAVISON TWP. — On Sept. 11 a 50-year-old Davison Township man reported the theft of an ATV from his property in the 9000 block of Lapeer Road.

Police said the theft happened between Aug. 28 and Sept. 11 when the owner noticed the yellow 2001 Honda Sports Tracks missing from behind his shed while he was mowing his lawn. The ATV had been behind the shed and police found where the fencing had been snipped and the ATV was gone. It is described as having black wheels, red handlebars and white knuckle guards.

There were no further leads. The case is closed due to lack of information. The vehicle was entered into a national database as stolen.

Woman receives citations

DAVISON TWP. — On Sept. 12 at 2:51 a.m., police stopped a car driven by a 42-year-old Davison woman who was southbound in the 2000 block of Irish at Davison Road. She was stopped for failing to stop for a flashing signal. Police discovered she was driving while license suspended. When she was asked if she was drinking, she admitted to a “couple of beers” and passed all sobriety and a PBT test. When she was searched police discovered drug paraphernalia and drugs which were sent to the lab for testing. The woman was given several citations for possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, DWLS and ignoring a flashing signal. She was then released.

Couple arrested for alleged stealing from Menards

DAVISON TWP. — Police were called to Menards, 7410 E. Court St., for a reported retail fraud on Sept. 12 at 1:11 p.m. Arrested were a 31-year-old Winterville, NC, woman and a 33-year-old Lasalle man.

Police said they were caught stealing sockets, knives and electrical outlets. The suspects were known to hit Davison, Clio and Toledo in the past.

Rental vehicle damaged

DAVISON TWP. — A 56-year-old Davison Township man told police Sept. 12 that someone had thrown a rock through the rear window of a rental vehicle in his driveway. Police were called to the home in the 7000 block of Schoolcraft Dr., at 4:33 p.m. They found the car with the back window smashed in and a rock laying on the back seat. The homeowner said it happened sometime between Sept. 5-12. Police found no evidence and the case was closed.

AC unit stolen from business

DAVISON TWP. — On Sept. 14 police were called to Wildside Spa, 9126 Lapeer Rd., for the report of the larceny of an air conditioning unit. The unit was taken from the rear of building. There were no cameras and no witnesses. The suspect(s) cut all lines to the building and took the entire unit. The case was closed due to lack of evidence.

Single car accident sends man to hospital

DAVISON TWP. — A 59-year-old Davison man was injured Sept. 16 when he suddenly swerved off the road striking a storm sewer cover on Oak Road, just north of Lapeer Road. Police were called to the scene at 10:04 p.m. for a single motor vehicle crash. The victim told police he was not feeling well and had no idea what happened. He just left the roadway and crashed.
