Tools, beer stolen from barn

DAVISON TWP. — Police were called to the 12000 block of Lapeer Road April 30 at 6:33 a.m. after a resident reported someone had stolen items from their barn.

Police said the victim, a 47-year-old Davison man, went to his barn to feed the pigs and chicken and discovered someone had taken his DeWalt tools, two chainsaws and seven Bud Lights.

The owner said the barn had been left unlocked and there was no sign forced entry. Police said there were no suspects nor leads at this time.

Woman arrested for alleged drunk driving

DAVISON TWP. — A police officer on routine patrol was nearly run off the road by an oncoming car that came into his lane on May 1 at 12:23 a.m. in the 1000 block N. Irish Road. The officer, who was northbound on Irish Road, turned around and made a traffic stop on the vehicle, which proceeded to jump the curb attempting to pull into a business.

Once the car stopped, police approached the driver, a 21-year-old Davison woman, who smelled of alcohol, according to the officer’s report. He performed sobriety tests on the woman before conducting a breathalyzer test, which registered a .116 blood alcohol content.

The woman was arrested drunk driving and was transported to the Genesee County Jail where she was lodged.

Rock thrown through car window

DAVISON TWP. — A resident at Chatwell Apartment went out to their car and found the driver’s window broken and a rock laying in the front seat. The victim, a 21-year-old Davison woman, called police at 12:39 p.m. on May 4 after finding the window broken on her Chevy Trax. Nothing was taken from the car and there were no witnesses. Police are still investigating.

Man arrested for road rage incident involving gun

DAVISON TWP. — An 18-year-old Davison man was arrested May 4 for alleged felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapon after a road rage incident.

Police were dispatched to the 9000 block of Lapeer Road at 6:32 p.m. after a 24-year-old Davison woman reported a man pulling up next to her car on Lapeer Road and allegedly waving a firearm during a road rage incident.

Officers went looking for the suspect’s vehicle in Creekwood Apartments, where they took the suspect into custody and recovered a firearm from inside his vehicle. He was arrested and lodged in the Genesee County Jail.

Car strikes Escalade in parking lot, leaves

DAVISON TWP. — Police are looking for a woman driving a gray Ford Focus who allegedly was backing out of a parking spot at the Liquor Gallery, 8008 Lapeer Rd., and struck a Cadillac Escalade before driving away on May 8.

Police were called there at 2:19 a.m. where they spoke to the victim, a 41-year-old Flint man victim who said his vehicle was struck on the passenger side, rear quarter panel by a woman driving a Ford Focus, who then left westbound on Lapeer Road. Police have no further information.

Columbiaville man arrested for OUID

DAVISON TWP. — A police officer on patrol in the 1100 block of S. Irish Road found a Dodge Ram pickup on top of the guard rail on the west curb of the southbound lane on S. Irish Road, May 8 at 3 a.m.

The officer investigated and found a 30-year-old Columbiaville man passed out at the wheel. The Dodge Ram was traveling westbound before it lost control, went over the guardrail and struck the I-69 overpass cement supports.

Police determined the driver to be in distress and under the influence of a controlled substance and he was transported to the hospital for treatment. While he was there, police obtained a warrant for a blood draw to conduct chemical tests. Officers left him at the hospital to undergo treatment and are awaiting results of the tests. Police will seek a license suspension and operating under the influence of drugs if results come back positive. — Compiled by Gary Gould
