Davison Parks & Rec needs vendors for Trunk or Treat Drive Thru

DAVISON TWP. — The Davison Township Parks and Recreation Department still needs more vendors for its Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat at Lake Callis, 1152 N. Gale Rd., on Oct. 23.

The township still needs vendors/trunks to hand out candy. There are still tickets available.

Pumpkin Extravaganza at Parks and Rec

DAVISON TWP. — There will be a Pumpkin Extravaganza now through Oct. 30. It is free to enter. Each category will have one winner, who will receive a 2021 Lake Callis Annual Family Pass • Ages 8 & Under — Pumpkin Painting Contest • Ages 9 — 15 — Choice of Pumpkin Painting or Carving Contest • Ages 16 & up — Pumpkin Carving Contest

October Busy Box still available at Parks & Rec

Intersession Program — Pumpkin Investigation

DAVISON TWP. — Looking to keep your child engaged before Halloween? Join Davison Township Parks and Recreation for Day 2 of Interesting Intersession in Davison Schools as they explore the inside of a pumpkin, make predictions and calculations, discuss its lifecycle and parts, make slime from the guts, and more.

This event is Oct. 27, at the Lake Callis Recreation Complex – Grand Pavilion, 1152 N. Gale Rd., from 10-11:30 a.m. All ages are welcome. Cost is residents: $5 per child; non-residents: $7 per child.

Registration is strongly recommended as a minimum must be met. Spaces are limited due to the current executive order. Registration will be accepted at the door provided the minimum has been met and there are still openings. Program will be held outdoors, weather permitting, to accommodate additional participants. — G.G.

Halloween Who Done it

DAVISON TWP. — Located on the Black Creek Trail and on a Trail at the Robert Williams Nature & Historical Learning Center, this activity is free to do and will be up through Nov. 1. You can find your starting sheet in the information box at the Davison Area Dog Park or Robert Williams Kiosk (by the Karen Miller Event Center), at the Lake Callis Recreation Complex Park Office (during office hours) or print your own from our Facebook page. You will then look for a series of pictures on the trails that will help you solve the mystery. — G.G.
