DAVISON TWP. — The Auxiliary of the Davison Veterans of Foreign War Post 4087, 8031 E. Court St., has received a $3,000 from the Community Foundation of Greater Flint to support its Veterans Programs.
Auxiliary President Roxann Lindsay said, “The money will be used to update the VFW Hall with PPE (personal protection equipment) items so the auxiliary will be able to host its monthly dinners and other functions. The grant will also assist them in conducting their auxiliary programs, aiding and supporting the veterans and their families, donation to the VA hospital. Promoting Americanism and running their youth scholarship program.”
The auxiliary will be holding dinners the first Wednesday of each month. They will be doing curbside pickup for the time being and dinners will be announced in the Davison Index, along with a phone number to call.
