DHS Class of 1981 planning events for 40-year reunion

DAVISON — The Davison High School Class of 1981 will hold several events as part of its 40-Year Class Reunion, Oct. 1-2.

On Friday, Oct. 1 there will be an Alumni Tent set up along Clark Street, just west of Thomson Kindergarten, starting at 4 p.m. for the Homecoming Football Game against Saginaw Heritage. There will be Davison Home Bakery Donuts and Porter’s Orchard Cider available.

There will also be a pub crawl in downtown Davison after the football game.

On Saturday, Oct. 2 there will be a golf outing at Sugarbush Golf Course, tee off begins at 9 a.m. Advance registration thru the DavisonClassof81 site on Eventbrite.com. Cost is $50 per person for 18 holes and cart.

There will be an Alumni Cruise/Car Show at Richfield Park. There is no fee for entry, just show up with your car or come to check out all the others there from 1-4 p.m.

The 40th Reunion Celebration will be at Sugarbush Golf Course, 1 Sugarbush Dr. in Davison Township. Join the celebration in the huge lakeside tent. Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m. (cash bar) and $60 per person includes dinner buffet served from 6:30–8 p.m., DJ and dancing from 8 p.m.– midnight. Additional snacks are available at 10:30 p.m.

Members of the Class of 1980 are also invited to join as COVID-19 prevented them from celebrating their reunion.
