Dogs rescued from house fire

FLINT TWP. — Two dogs were rescued from a burning home June 12 in Flint Township.

Flint Township firefighters were called at about 4:30 p.m. to a garage fire on Southgate Drive that had spread to the house. No people were injured, but two large dogs were pulled out of the home.

Firefighters used pet oxygen masks to revive the animals, and both dogs were rushed to an emergency animal hospital. The dogs were later said to be doing well.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. – J.J.
