July 25 was organ donor awareness night at the Flushing Summer Concert in the Park. The band Rodeo Drive played couple of country music sets and representatives from Genesee Health Plan, the Gift of Life and the Gleason Community Fund were also on hand. View Newspapers Editor Gary Gould spoke about his experience with a liver transplant last year, while Shalonda Griffin of Gift of Life- Michigan and County Clerk John Gleason, a kidney transplant recipient, talked about the importance of being an organ donor.
