Drumming for a Cause rescheduled

GRAND BLANC — Due to rain, the Cardio Drumming fundraiser class for Hurley Children’s Miracle Network that was scheduled for Saturday, June 26 on the Grand Blanc High School football field, has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 7.

Residents are invited to rock out for charity with this special Cardio Drumming class that will take place at 10 a.m. All proceeds will go to support Hurley Children’s Miracle Network.

Cardio Drumming is a 55-minute total body workout designed for fun. Drum tubs and sticks will be provided. Participants need to bring a large stability ball, 65-75 cm is recommended, and water to drink. Participants are also encouraged to wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing.

This class will be led by ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified group fitness instructor Kylie Gates Barrett. To register, interested parties can Venmo Kylie-Gates-Barrett $12. If Venmo is not an option, they can email kindness@sharingsmilesproject.com to reserve a spot and make other payment arrangements. In the event of rain, this event will be rescheduled for a later date.

Class will run from 10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7. Check in will open at 9:30 a.m. Music of all sorts will be played. To ensure enough equipment, there is a limit of 52 participants.
