EGGS-TRA, EGGS-TRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT — A large crowd of families with children turned out last weekend for the township’s first Community Easter Egg Hunt, at the park next to the police station on Norko Drive, sponsored by the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) in partnership with Genesee Valley Center, with support from numerous local businesses. Volunteers distributed more than 6,500 eggs across the snowy fields, making them easy for the children to find. Those who found eggs containing prize slips redeemed them for gift baskets donated by local businesses. Parents were treated to a raffle in which several winners received donated gift cards, mainly to local restaurants. Afterwards, everyone was invited to warm up at Genesee Valley Center where hot beverages and cookies were being served.
