BURTON — Ele’s Place, a healing center for children, celebrated their recent expansion in Flint with an open house Thursday, March 31. The center, which is at 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, is located in the Holy Redeemer School.

“For 25 years, Ele’s Place has been dedicated to creating awareness of and support for grieving children and their families in the Lansing area as well as locations in Grand Rapids and Ann Arbor,” said President and CEO Dan Layman. “We are confident that Ele’s Place’s newest location will provide the same welcoming, supportive environment for children and teens to share their feelings and memories with their peers, and learn to cope with the challenges they face after the death of a parent, sibling or loved one.”

Managing Director Amy Krug shared that “we are very excited to bring this much-needed programming to the Flint community. We hope that people will come visit our space and learn more about how we are able to help children and teens heal.”
