BURTON — On Friday, Dec. 3, ELGA Credit Union (ELGA) and the Michigan State Police Flint Post (MSP) will host the 8th annual Stuff a Blue Goose fundraiser to support the Salvation Army’s Toy Shoppe.
Toys and monetary donations will be collected at 13 ELGA branch locations, with funds supporting children in Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee and Saginaw Counties.
“Each year we partner with ELGA Credit Union to ensure that every child in our community has gifts to wake up to on Christmas morning,” said Trooper Steven Kramer of the MSP Flint Post. “We love partnering with the Salvation Army because they allow parents and guardians to shop for and wrap their kid’s gifts, making Christmas as normal as possible for the families that benefit from the Toy Shoppe.”
If you would like to support Stuff a Blue Goose, stop by any ELGA location to drop off a new, unwrapped toy. Monetary donations can be made at any ELGA branch, online at www.elgacu.com, or by texting ELGA to 41444.
All money donated will be used to purchase toys locally. All monetary donations are tax deductible, made possible by the ELGA Credit Union Foundation for Impact. — G.G.
