ELIZABETH JUNE (HERRICK) HEMPTON, 94, of Flint, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020.
Elizabeth was born in North Carolina, on June 22, 1925, daughter of the late Archie Norman and Mattie Lee Herrick. She was a member of Davison Missionary Church. Elizabeth was a Genesys (St. Joseph) Volunteer for over 25 years, a lifelong member of the Davison Missionary Church and Prayer Warrior. She also enjoyed bowling, square-dancing, camping, fishing, crocheting and macramé. Elizabeth loved church, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by three children, Pam (Wayne) Tingley, Nan Hamilla and Jeff (Sue) Hempton; grandchildren, Troy (Mariah) Cronenvhet, Travis (Angie Henry) Fowler, Tracie (David Brula) Cronenvhet, Christa (Kenneth) Skunda, Randall Balcer, Michael (Cris) Tingley, Wendy Tingley, Kaidon (Emily) Hempton, Kolton (Lena) Hempton and Shane Carrier; great-grandchildren, Madison, Justice, Andrew, Liberty, David, Preston, Mickey (Erica), Cyleigh (Collin), Haley, Ashley (Cody), Alexie, Alanys, Douglas, Amanda, Wednesday, Louis and Owen; greatgreat grandchildren, Everleigh, Miles and Ezlynn; many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Archie Hempton; son-in-law, John Hamilla; grandson, Jeffrey Tingley; and sister, Evelyn Cole.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Missionary Church, in Elizabeth’s memory.
Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Memorial Service was held at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 North Gale Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Doug Connelly officiating. Inurnment was in Davison Cemetery.
