FLINT — Security Credit Union (SCU) has announced the appointment of Christopher Estes as president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Terry Pierce who retired after 33 years of service.
Estes has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently as vice president of operations at Dow Chemical Employees’ Credit Union. Estes also served as senior director of operations at ClientLogic Corporation, vice president of Illinois Operations for Old Kent Financial Corporation, chief operating officer at BB&T Bankcard Corporation, credit manager at Old Kent Bank and production manager at Guardsman Products Company.
A Michigan-native who currently resides in Grand Blanc, Estes has a rich history of community involvement. He recently served as advisory board chair of The Salvation Army of Midland, as a business leader with the United Way of Midland and on the board of managers for the Midland Symphony Orchestra. He currently serves as a Cub Scout cubmaster.
