DAVISON AREA — After cancellations last fall put a halt on the Davison Downtown Development Authority’s annual Pumpkinfest and Trunk or Treat, both events are back this year.
They will take place in addition to Davison Township’s drive-thru Trunk or Treat at Lake Callis, which started last year with the need for social distancing during the pandemic.
The DDA’s Trunk or Treat downtown in Davison on Main Street will happen Oct. 8. And the city anticipates as many as 6,000 people could attend based on previous years.
Main Street from Mill Street to Third Street will be closed beginning at 5 p.m. to park vehicles in assigned areas so participants can decorate their trunk.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and will run until 8 p.m.
Anyone interested in having a trunk and passing out candy there should visit the city’s website at davisondda.org for a form which is to be completed and returned by Oct. 1.
The form can be returned by mail or the drop box at Davison City Hall, 200 E Flint Street Davison, MI 48423. Or fax it to 810-653-9621, or email to email@example.com.
The 30th Annual DDA Pumpkinfest will follow the next day, Oct. 9, on Main Street in downtown Davison, from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
