FIA announces personal protection equipment drive

FLINT — Beginning next week, the Flint Institute of Arts will collect personal protection equipment (PPE) in support of three area hospitals.

Each Wednesday from May 27 through June 24, donations of unused items may be placed in a designated bin at the south entrance of the museum from 10 AM to 3 PM. Items collected will be distributed to Ascension Genesys Hospital, Hurley Medical Center, and McLaren Flint.

Needed items include:

Masks: N95 (not
KN95); disposable;
and those with shields
(no handmade or used
masks accepted)

Gel hand sanitizer
Clorox-type wipes
Tyvek suits (coveralls)
Gowns: Isolation and
disposable
Disposable gloves,
especially powder-free,
Latex free
Eye protection,
including safety goggles
Disposable foot covers
Surgical caps
Powered air-purifying
respirator hoods
