The Grand Blanc Chamber of Commerce and Financial Plus Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of the newly-remodeled Grand Blanc branch, with a ribbon cutting Monday, June 21. Rachel Mouser, director of marketing, said the credit union removed the remote tellers and “went back to more personalized banking.” “We went back to our roots,” she said. “We went back to face-to-face tellers and more personalized banking services. That’s important to us.” The branch also was updated with a cleaner, more modern look and an open floor plan with artwork that honors the institution’s history in the auto industry. Financial Plus was founded in 1952 by local autoworkers. The Grand Blanc branch at 8250 S. Saginaw St. opened in 2008.
