FLINT — Financial Plus Credit Union raised $5,212.40 during their Annual Pink Night Palooza bake sale that took place on Sept. 27.

One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from this one day sale stay here in our community to directly benefit Hurley’s Breast Cancer Patient Navigation Program. Hurley’s Breast Cancer Patient Navigation Program is a vital year-round program that is a free service to help local men and women during treatment and recovery.

The program identifies gaps within patient care and assists with financial hardships a patient might encounter.

“As the Founding Sponsor of Pink Night Palooza, our organization is committed to supporting the cause and its efforts. The funds raised from our bake sale will give an opportunity to provide assistance to local breast cancer patient’s right here in Genesee County,” said Olga Long, Vice President of Strategic Growth and Marketing. “Surpassing our fundraising goal would not have been possible without the support from the community and employees. We thank everyone who supported us by purchasing items as well as local businesses and Financial Plus employees who generously donated baked goods.”

If you were unable to attend the bake sale, Financial Plus will be selling “Pinkie” donor cards for a $1.00 until October 31st. Place your name or someone affected by breast cancer on the card to be displayed at the Credit Union branches.
