Firebirds draft first local player in four-year history

Flushing native Jacob Badal selected


Saturday, April 7, 2018: 5:20 p.m. — FLINT — The
Flint Firebirds drafted the first local player in the team’s four-year
history this afternoon when Jacob Badal, a 16U player for Detroit
Honeybaked was selected in the sixth round. Badal attends Flint Powers
Catholic High and is a leftwinger.

This morning with the second overall pick, Flint drafted forward Evan
Vierling in the 2018
OHL Priority Selection.
