FLINT – Fans will have the opportunity to be a part of history this year as opening night tickets for the Flint Firebirds Hockey Club will go on sale to the public Friday, Aug. 7 at 10 a.m.
The Firebirds open the season at Saginaw on Thursday, Sept. 24, then will host the Saginaw Spirit in the first of four home contests against the in-state rival this season, beginning on Saturday, Sept. 26. Puck drop is slated for 7:30 p.m. at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center. Fans can purchase tickets in person at the Dort Federal Event Center Box Office or by calling at (810) 744-0580 and online at www.ticketmaster.com.
Single game tickets for the Flint Firebirds inaugural season start at $12 for Bronze, $15 for silver and $19 for corporate and gold seating.
Fans will have the opportunity to see every member of the 20-team league as each club will visit Flint for a minimum of one time throughout the regular season. Likewise, the Firebirds will play in every OHL city at least once throughout the 2015-16 campaign.

Also on tap is a major announcement, which will happen today at 10 a.m. at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center. According to a press release, the announcement will involve Perani’s Hockey World, as well as the Robert Perani family. All of the Firebirds’ staff, as well as city of Flint mayor Dayne Walling, will be in attendance for the announcement.
