Firebirds to host Whaley Night to help children

FLINT — The Flint Firebirds are hosting a special night for Whaley Children’s Center (WCC) on March 10, as the Firebirds face off against western conference rival the London Knights at 7 p.m. at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center.

All attendees will receive a free admission with the donation of five personal hygiene items to the children at WCC, sponsored by Landaal Packaging and Oasis Outsourcing out of Sarasota Florida. There will also be a 50/50 raffle with all proceeds benefitting WCC.

Tickets start at $12 and are available at or for free by bringing five personal hygiene items to the game. WCC has a great need for a variety of personal hygiene products including shampoo, conditioner, hairbrushes, feminine products, ethnic hair care, hair detangler, deodorant, towels, wash clothes, hair ties, underwear, socks, Nair, sun screen, bug spray and facial cleansing clothes.
