FLINT TWP. — Parking now costs a little bit less at Flint Bishop International Airport.
On May 25, the Bishop Airport Authority voted to consolidate its short term and longterm parking lots into a rebranded Terminal Parking Lot and drop the price of daily parking fees from $15 to $10 beginning June 1. Reserved parking closest to the terminal has also dropped from $15 to $13 per day.
“It is always great when we can reduce the costs associated with traveling from our facility,” Bishop Airport Director Nino Sapone said in a statement. “Already known for our affordable parking, these reductions and rebrands make Flint Bishop an even more attractive option for travelers in our region.”
Bishop Airport has also renamed its Econo Parking Lot, which is located on the north side of Bristol Road, as the Shuttle Parking Lot but will keep the existing $8 per day fee for that lot.
Vehicles that entered any of the parking areas prior to June 1 will pay the daily amount that was charged before the changes took place, according to the airport. — B.G.
