Flint Bishop Airport to hold drive-thru vaccine clinics

FLINT TWP. — The Genesee County Health Department has partnered with Flint Bishop International Airport to offer a permanent drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination location at the airport.

Scheduled vaccination clinics will be held at the Bishop International Airport Economy Lot located at 3262 West Bristol Road in Flint Township. COVID-19 vaccinations will be available by appointment only to those who are eligible through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) prioritization guidelines.

“As part of the transportation network that connects our region to the world, and as a community partner, we couldn’t be more pleased to be a part of the process to vaccinate our community against COVID-19,” said Bishop Airport Director Nino Sapone.

Eligible individuals should fill out the COVID vaccine pre-registration survey online, at GCHD pre-registration survey. If you need help filling out the survey, please contact your local senior center, the Valley Area Agency on Aging (810-239-7671) or GCHD at (810-424-4443).

Information on prioritization, eligibility, and pre-registration can be found at gchd.us/covid19vaccine.

While the supply of vaccine is increasing each week, the GCHD asks for residents to be patient, as there are not enough vaccines available for all who are eligible. Vaccine prioritization is based on current state guidelines and not specifically on the date that people preregister.
