FLINT – The Flint City Bucks’ next MILK Cup match has been confirmed for Tuesday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Atwood Stadium. The Bucks will play host to Grand Rapids FC (NPSL) and the match will determine the club that advances to the Michigan MILK Cup Final in July.
The United Dairy Industry of Michigan is presenting the third annual Men’s Michigan MILK Cup. The tournament began in April of 2017 with 12 top Michigan based teams from NPSL, UPSL and MPSL. In the club’s first appearance in the tournament, the Flint City Bucks advanced to the semifinals this season after defeating Michigan Stars FC on Saturday, May 11 in Flint.
Grand Rapids FC was founded in 2014 and is a member of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Last season, GRFC placed second in the Midwest Great Lakes Conference and made it to first round of its regional playoffs. Earlier this season, the Bucks defeated GRFC (1-0) in a pre-season friendly hosted by Grand Rapids.
Tickets for the semifinal match are $15 VIP reserved, $10 Adult GA and $5 Youth GA (12-under). Purchase via www.ticketmaster.com or in person at Flint Prints, 615 South Saginaw Street in downtown Flint. Tickets are also available at Kettering’s Atwood Stadium on match days. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the festivities at the Market Tap Beer Garden, the famous Halo Burger food truck and at the Funtastic Inflatables Bounce House.
