Flint Cultural Center holiday decorations on view starting this week

FLINT — The Flint Cultural Center and its partnering institutions; Flint Institute of Arts, Flint Institute of Music, Flint Repertory Theatre, Longway Planetarium, Sloan Museum, The Whiting, Applewood Estate, the Flint Public Library, and the Flint Cultural Center Academy will provide area residents with a drive-thru holiday experience featuring new holiday decorations lining Kearsley Street, beginning December 8. Visitors may also notice a few holiday favorites donated from Baker College.

“Although we have had to cancel this year’s Holiday Walk we are happy to be able to provide the community with this drive-thru experience. We hope that this new addition will become a family tradition for years to come, just as Holiday Walk has become,” said Mark Sinila, COO Flint Cultural Center Corporation.

Decorations will be on view through Jan. 1 beginning at dusk and will be visible from West to East on Kearsley Street, beginning at Kearsley Street and Crapo Street and continuing to Kearsley Street and Decker Street. Visitors will also be able to enjoy the best of the FSO’s past Holiday Pops performances by tuning to 98.5 FM. — G.G.
