FLINT — Peter Yarrow of Peter Paul and Mary headlines the 16th Flint Folk Music Festival. Joining Peter on the Flint Folk Music Festival stage schedule are Kate Taylor, Christine Lavin, Don White, Mustard’s Retreat and Hayley Reardon. Flint’s Dan Hall will make a special guest appearance.
The Festival, presented by the Flint Folk Music Society (FFMS), takes place on July 25 in Flint’s Kearsley Park from 1-9 p.m. Admission to the festival is free.
Peter Yarrow’s talents as a creative artist— both with the legendary trio Peter, Paul & Mary and as a solo performer— are frequently directed at using music to convey a message of humanity and caring. Christine Lavin is an iconic singer/songwriter.. Her songs have a wordsmith’s eye for detail, with a comic’s vision for the absurd, and a huge and fearless heart that will go anywhere. — G.G.
