Flint Township house fire under investigation

FLINT TWP. — On June 11, the Flint Township Fire Department and several local departments responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of Boyne Street in Flint Township. Fire crews arrived at the scene at around 3 a.m.

One person was home when the fire broke out but was able to make it out safely before firefighters arrived. Flint Township Fire Chief Tom Stadler said that the residence and a garage area sustained heavy fire damage, but no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
